The Conscious Edge
with Persia West
The Conscious Edge is about developing perceptive awareness towards the people around us – and toward ourselves. It's all about opening our eyes to the unnoticed, subliminal details in how we see other people, but are not aware of, and about how we react unconsciously to these subtle clues we perceive in others.
By becoming acutely aware of every nuance of perception, we become conscious of what shapes and colours the experience of our lives, which enhances relationships, communications, and our own certainty in what we do. This growing awareness brings a greater sense of our own self, and with it a natural ease in navigating daily life, in gaining control over circumstance, asserting power without conflict.
The Conscious Edge is primarily focused on gender, which means women, and the often disregarded strengths and powers that come with being highly aware. You can watch a 12 minute video of Persia giving a talk entitled 'Women on the Conscious Edge' at the L-women at Work event in Amsterdam in November 2011, which summarises the work.
Working with Gender Identity - Wednesday 30th May 2012. This seminar is about gaining knowledge of gender diversity - those people who don't fit neatly into one of the two gender stereotypes - with a focus on transgender people. More.
